After three months of being closed to the public – apart from our fabulous Christmas Market & Santa Experience back in December! – we opened our big old doors again Monday 13th February. Our season kicked off with a week of All New Spy Camp, during which some of our junior special agents were introduced to some very interesting characters.
We haven’t been lazing about over the winter though. Our maintenance team have been painting like it’s going out of fashion, the First World War, Home Front and Sussex Sea & Air displays have all been updated and we have brand new signage all around the site.
The shop has been transformed, with a new colour scheme, new shelving, a stripped-down floor and some lovely new lighting. Here are the before and after pictures. We think it looks great – what do you think?
We’ve also been busily planning some great events for you this year. There’ll be opportunities to learn about the Fort and local history with our Hidden Fort and Talks in the Tea Room series of illustrated talks, plenty of chance to step back in time with Living History events and Battle of Britain Day, classic car shows, ghost hunts, the return of the Zombie Runs and loads more too! Keep an eye on the What’s On pages for more information.
As you can see, there’s lots to look forward to this year. Why not make sure that you see it all by taking advantage of our great value-for-money season tickets? With a season ticket you can visit the Fort as many times as you want during our open season, and they’re valid for a whole year. This year we’ve brought the price right down, so you start saving after just one visit! Visit our Admission and Opening Times page for more details.
We’re open from now until 5th November so make sure you come and see our new look for yourself this year!
