Climb To The Top

After emerging from the tunnels embark on an ascent to the top of the Fort and experience the unique atmosphere of the cliff-top gun emplacements and enjoy stunning views of the South Coast.

Get Creative With Creepy Craft Sessions

For the visitors who daren’t venture into the depths of the tunnels, and for those who emerge unscathed, there will be drop-in craft sessions to let the imagination run wild. Pop in to the Activity Centre and get creative. Will you create a bat to ‘hang about’ with or even make your own eight-legged companion?

Relax In The Tea Rooms

Gather yourself and warm the chill in your bones after exploring the tunnels with a hot drink. Relax in the 1940s inspired vintage tea rooms complete with patriotic bunting and period furniture as you enjoy the selection of locally sourced products. 

Listen To Ghost Stories

Why not ask one of the staff members around the Fort if they have encountered anything strange in the tunnels beneath the Fort? Lots of people have experienced strange feelings, an eerie presence and witnessed figures in the passages below…

Travel back in time and learn what it was really like in WWII during an air-raid in the Home Front exhibition. The whole family will love this experience and learn what it was like for Grandparents in wartime Britain.

Follow the fascinating journeys of soldiers from the Indian Army and British West Indies Regiment in this interactive exhibition.
