Newhaven Fort’s World War Two Air Sea Rescue Murals: How we connect to our History through traces of the past by Harriet Parry, University of Brighton

Wednesday 31st July 2019

This talk offers new research and ways of thinking around the WW2 murals left by Air Sea Rescue Unit 28 in the Counterscarp Galleries of the Fort. An opportunity to connect with their creators as well as those that have spent time with them over the years. The research asks: How can our social history help us think about our community in the future?

The talk will also include an introduction to Harriet’s latest Ph.D. research at the Fort and an opportunity to take part in the next phase of her project.

Doors open at 7pm, talk begins at 7.15pm.
