Hallowe'en Havoc 'n History
What do toads, snakes, skull masks and witches brew all have to do with a Napoleonic Fort? Well, you’ll find the answer at Newhaven Fort from Monday 23rd October until Sunday 29th October.
Dust off your broomsticks and iron your wizard capes, because Newhaven Fort has so much to offer this half term. There are questions to answer and riddles to solve in the spine chilling depths of the Fort tunnels, with the newly created Quiz Trail running daily.
For true Hallowe’en fun, there will be children’s’ skull lantern workshops on Wednesday 25th and on Saturday 28th at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:00. The workshops will be pre-booked, so please contact Newhaven Fort on 01273 517622 to reserve a place.
For the really brave among you, Zoolab will be coming to Newhaven Fort on Friday 27th to show pre-booked visitors a real snake, scorpion, tarantula, giant millipede, cockroaches and even a toad! Session times are 13:30 and 15:00 (please call to reserve a place).
Family tickets are £16.50 for 2 adults and up to 3 children. Otherwise prices are £5.50 for adults (£4.60 concessions) and £3.60 for children (children must be accompanied by an adult) and the Fort is open from 10:30am to 5pm daily.
Whilst there, and assuming the children aren’t developing their ghost hunting skills, brushing up on their history, or playing in the adventure playground for the under 12’s, why not enjoy some well earned refreshment in the Searchlight Café – where you’ll find a full range of wholesome snacks or even a special spooky witches brew… if you dare!
