The Cumberland Guard spend Easter at Fort

Newhaven Fort Easter Events Poster

Newhaven Fort is packed full of fun this Easter. If you’re looking to go somewhere that is sure to entertain the whole family, then look no further than Newhaven Fort.

For younger family members, the Chick & Bunny Trail is taking place throughout the week. Using the quiz sheets given on entry, children will be guided to specific areas in the Fort to hunt, find and count the hidden Easter bunnies and spring chicks.

There are exciting Easter workshops on Tuesday 11th April and Thursday 13th April. On Tuesday, children will be able to make their very own Easter card and, on Thursday, the theme changes to Easter decorations. Workshop times are: 11:30am, 1pm & 2:30pm and advance booking is highly recommended (please call 01273 517622 to reserve your child’s place).

On Easter Sunday (16th April) the Cumberland Guard will be on site to re-enact their Victorian portrayal of the Royal Marines of 1860. An excellent display of musket drills and marching with fifes and drums, all with colours flying!

Of course, all of this is in addition to the many wonderful, permanent displays and interesting things to do at Newhaven Fort and, don’t forget, the fantastic on-site café serving yummy lunches and naughty treats, plus our pocket-money-priced gift shop.

Opening times are 10.30am - 6pm (last entry 5pm). Tickets for our Easter week are priced at the normal entry fee and can be purchased on the door.
