Welcome to Newhaven Fort’s event page, detailing all of the special events taking place in 2009, month by month.

Back by popular demand - Newhaven Fort will be hosting two captivating live jazz evenings, so come and join us for a energetic evening of music and dance.  Also set to return are the ever popular Oddsocks Productions, who will be delighting audiences with another alternative Shakespearian production, 'Richard III'.  Please note that these events will be popular and require separate tickets, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Lewes District Council's annual Soundwave Festival will be returning to the Fort with musical events and activities designed to engage young people from across the county.  New for 2009 -discover 500 years of history as Newhaven Fort hosts it's first ever Festival of History.  Vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the Classic British Motorbike Show and our Down Memory Lane event, complete with pre-WWII designed Morris Vehicles.

An old favourite returns - Battle of Britain Day, a commemorative day of 1940's nostalgia and remembrance will be another event highlight.  As will Newhaven Fort's Easter Excitement and Halloween Fun, half term activities which will keep the whole family entertained for hours.
