Children at War 4th September - 31st October 2010
Free talks and workshops for years 7-11 at Newhaven Fort
The touring exhibition Children at War looks imaginatively at the effects of warfare, both traditional and gang related, on children around the world. Aimed at a teenage audience, it explores many themes from the National Curriculum, and focuses on Human Rights.
We would like to invite your school to come see the show, experience the art trail, have a talk by the artist and have fun taking part in a creative workshop, raising awareness and fundraising for Warchild, as we go.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery, Highlight are delighted to be able to offer free talks about the issues raised in the show, and creative workshops exploring anti knife and gun crime. These will take place at Newhaven Fort on weekdays, from 7th September to 31st October.
The entrance fee to Newhaven Fort is £2.15 per child, 15p of which will go to Warchild. Talks and workshops are free of charge. Entrance to the Fort is free for Teachers.
