Easter Excitement at Newhaven Fort
Newhaven Fort is packed full of fun this Easter. If you’re looking to go somewhere that is sure to entertain the whole family, then look no further than Newhaven Fort.
For younger family members, the children’s Easter rabbit trail is taking place through 6th-19th April. Using the quiz sheets given on entry, children will be guided to specific areas in the Fort to hunt, find and count the hidden Easter bunnies to win a prize.
There are also some exciting Easter children’s workshops taking place through the holidays. On Thursday 9th April furry friends visit the Fort including rabbits, gerbils and even rats! Children will get the chance to meet and learn about these creatures and changes nature at spring time. On Friday 10th April (Good Friday) attend our craft workshop and get creative by designing your own Easter eggs.*
On 12th April (Easter Sunday) Newhaven Fort will also be hosting the Classic British Motorbike show, featuring bikes dating pre 1974, in association with the Sussex British Motorcycle Club.
Of course, all of this is in addition to the many wonderful, permanent displays and interesting things to do at Newhaven Fort and, don’t forget, the fantastic on-site café serving yummy lunches and naughty treats, plus our pocket-money-priced gift shop.
For further information on these, and other special events throughout the year, please contact Newhaven Fort direct on 01273 517622 or visit http://www.newhavenfort.org.uk/

Notes to Editor:
Newhaven Fort is an award-winning visitor attraction, open to the public from March to October. The Fort is owned and operated by Lewes District Council and offers visitors the opportunity to experience a day out with a difference, as they step into wartime Britain and follow in the footsteps of people who lived through the first and second World Wars. The massive walls, ramparts, tunnels and gun emplacements all fire the imagination, and the clifftop location offers stunning, far-reaching views across Seaford Bay, Newhaven Port and the English Channel.
Newhaven Fort is open daily March - September from 10.30am until 6pm and October from 10.30am until 5pm (last admissions 1 hour before closing)
