A music event set within the impressive grounds of Newhaven Fort is set to showcase some of the best music talent in Sussex.

Following on from the success of previous music nights the Fort is hosting Fort Blitz on Friday 27th June.

“Fort Blitz is a summer gig aimed at 16-24 year olds wanting to experience a mixed local music event at an extraordinary venue” said Minna Robertson Visitor Services Officer.

Teasing Lulu, fronted by lead singer Lucy Dalton, will be the headlining the evening.  With much previous success the band has gigged all over the country supporting bands like the Stranglers, the Dead Kennedys, the Whirlwind Heat, the Damned, Penetration, the Groundhogs and Eighties Matchbox amongst others.

“We have some amazing bands confirmed for the night.  In addition to Teasing Lulu we have supporting acts The Suits, Qualia and Tom + Olly, all of which are based in Sussex” said Minna.

Fort Blitz starts at 7pm – 10pm and doors open at 6:45.   Tickets are £4 and can be booked in advance by calling 01273 517622 or can be purchased on the door.  Under 16’s are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by an adult.
